The Hunger Games is a famous novel written by Suzanne Collins. The goal was to redesign and illustrate everything the book represented is one image. The book is about a girl who went through many obstacles to survive in a dystopian society, ruled by the evil President Snow. The choice to hand draw my illustration of Katniss looking up was a way to express and foreshadow the harsh battles she is about to face. The illustrated Mockingjay’s are shown in dynamic poses because they hold significant meaning in the book. The texture and look were chosen because of the poor condition she lived in.
