This project is the re-branding of the City of Clarkston to base it off on the unique qualities of the city. Through extensive research, I have compiled several ideas for the cities new identity! The city is unique and is known for its racial and cultural diversity. The design of the logo is to represent the cities humility in welcoming refugees and other ethnicities to start a new life. The city welcomes 1,500 refugees a year, that is 40,000 refugees in the last 25 years! The majority of the people living in Clarkston are of different ethnicities with a median age of 28 years. Through that knowledge, I managed to capture the primary audience by designing a new logo, tagline, developing iconography, redesigning their homepage, creating the environmental design for the park, and apparel. The homepage and everything else was designed using the brand's colors while maintaining a clean, modern, aesthetic look! The icons are a universal language, by knowing that I customly designed icons for the city. Most of the photos are photos taken by me during my time in the city. Enjoy!
